DAPY Industries

Engineering before manufacturing

Make it work, then make it at scale.

Every production program begins before the first part comes off a machine. DAPY Industries works through materials, geometry, tooling, surface requirements, volumes and assembly constraints first, then coordinates the program through to delivery as your single interface.

Engineering notes

What gets decided before tooling

Innovation is not only the ability to imagine something, but the ability to make it work. These are the decisions that determine whether a part can be made repeatably, at scale.

01

Material

Chosen against the duty — load, temperature, contact, clarity, regulation — and the target cost, not by habit.

02

Geometry & wall thickness

Draft, ribs, bosses and wall sections set for fill, cooling and dimensional stability, including heavy-wall and thin-wall parts.

03

Tool design

Cavitation, gating and cooling-channel layout matched to the volume, checked by mold flow simulation before steel is cut.

04

Surface & decoration

Texture, gloss, colour, metallization and marking decided with the tool, because the cavity surface is the part surface.

05

Assembly

Joining method, tolerances between mating parts, inserts and welding sequence designed in rather than solved on the line.

06

Volume & cost

Press class, cycle time and cavitation balanced so the program is economical at launch volume and as it scales.

Program coordination

One interface from brief to delivery

DAPY Industries coordinates product development, technical communication, quality control, logistics and delivery, while production runs through the integrated manufacturing platform in Taiwan.

01

Feasibility

Your brief reviewed against materials, tooling, finish and volume, with open questions raised early.

02

Quotation

Tooling approach, unit price basis and indicative lead time, from one point of contact.

03

Tooling

Mold design, simulation, cutting and trial coordinated with the manufacturing platform.

04

Production

Production planning and technical communication through the program.

05

Quality

Quality control from first articles to series production.

06

Logistics & delivery

Packing, shipping and delivery coordinated through to your destination.

Feasibility brief

Six points to start a program

Every opportunity starts from the same brief, so technical answers come back consistent and fast. Send what you have; most briefs start incomplete.

01

Part

What it is, what it does, and a drawing, STEP file or photo.

02

Material

A resin, or the duty it has to meet: load, temperature, contact, clarity.

03

Volume

Annual volume and expected first order.

04

Finish

Surface, colour and decoration requirements.

05

Assembly

Mating parts, welding, inserts, packing.

06

Timeline

Target dates for samples and start of production.

FAQ

Engineering questions

At what stage should we involve you?

As early as the geometry allows. Material, wall thickness, draft, gating and assembly method are cheapest to change before the tool is designed; once steel is cut, every change costs time.

What do you need to assess feasibility?

The six points of the feasibility brief: the part, the material or its duty, volume, finish, assembly and timeline. A drawing, STEP file or even a photo is enough to start.

Who is our point of contact during the program?

DAPY Industries, throughout: engineering questions, quotation, tooling, production status, quality and delivery all come through one interface.

Can you work from our existing design?

Yes. Most programs start from a client design. We review it for manufacturability and come back with any changes that would improve fill, cycle time, tolerance or cost, and why.

Send us a part. We’ll come back with a route to production.

Share a drawing, STEP file or reference photo with the six points of the feasibility brief. We’ll respond with feasibility, tooling approach and an indicative lead time.
